A regular meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Waxahachie, Texas to be held in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 401 S. Rogers on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

All matters listed under Item 4, Consent Agenda, are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion.  There will not be separate discussion of these items.  Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the Mayor/City Manager to execute all matters necessary to implement each item.  Any item may be removed from the Consent Agenda for separate discussion and consideration by any member of the City Council.

5.         Second Public Hearing on the City of Waxahachie Tax Increase as required by State Law

 

6.         Public Hearing on City of Waxahachie Budget for fiscal year 2007-2008 as required by City Charter

 

7.         Schedule a Vote on the Tax Rate for September 17, 2007

 

8.         Consider proposed Ordinance annexing property owned by Paul G. Spining, General Partner for Glen Arbor Estates, of 12.939 acres located in the S. Powers Survey, Abstract no. 837, generally located East of Ovilla Road (F.M. 664) and South of Bob White (Patsy Lane) near South Grove Creek

 

9.         Request to appear by Tom Legler to request street closures and extra police for crowd control on Saturday, November 10, 2007 for WWII Reenactment on the square and take any necessary action.

 

10.       Discuss and take action on request from Clyde Hargrove for the City’s acceptance and dedication of two (2) parcels of land for a hike and bike trail bordering the Sports Complex and park space located in Windchase Addition. 

 

11.       Consider proposed Resolution denying the request from Atmos Energy Corporation for a rate increase.

 

12.       Consider proposed Resolution approving a Tax Abatement Agreement with ABPC, LLC, Owner (Coal City Cob, a Subsidiary) for property located at 4300 I35E North

 

13.       Adjourn into Executive Session to discuss pending or contemplated litigation/consultation with Attorney in regard to IESI Waste Disposal as permitted by the Texas Government Code, Section 551.071

 

14.       Reconvene and take any necessary action

           

15.       Citizens’ Petitions and Requests
