The Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Waxahachie will hold a
regular meeting on Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at 401 S.
Rogers St., Waxahachie, Texas.

August 10, 2005
- Public Hearing on Zoning Amendment Request No. 2005-40: Request by Robert
Carrell to change the zoning on 5 acres in the Robert Chapman Survey from Single
family-1 (SF-1) to Single Family-3 (SF-3) Zoning District for construction of a
single family home at 310 Sterrett. (ZA2005-40)
- Public Hearing on Zoning Amendment Request No. 2005-41: Request by
Waxahachie ISD, for a Specific Use Permit within Single Family-2 Zoning District
for a portable building to house Head Start Program, to be located at Wilemon
Education Center, 600 2nd Street (in back by gym), being Blocks 5 and 6,
Hillcrest Addition. (ZA2005-41)
- Public Hearing on Zoning Amendment Request No. 2005-42: Request by City of
Waxahachie to establish Historic Overlay District within Central Area (CA) and
Commercial (C) Zoning Districts. Historic Overlay District will require property
owners in the Downtown Area to have new construction and exterior restoration
plans reviewed and approved by Heritage Preservation Commission. The use will

- Public Hearing on Zoning Amendment Request No. 2005-43: Request by Texas
Department of Public Safety to change the zoning from Single Family-3 (SF-3) to
General Retail (GR) with Specific Use Permit (SUP) for a temporary modular
office building to be used as a Driver License office, located at 902 E.
Jefferson Street, being 2.5 acres in S.M. Durrett Survey. (ZA2005-43)
- Request to appear by Dan Tresch of James Hardie Building Products to make an
informational presentation about their products
