Hearing on Zoning Amendment Request No. 2006-31: Request by Texas Department of Public Safety,
to change the zoning on the residual of an 8 acre tract (approximately 3.8
acres) in the S.M. Durrett Survey from Future
Development (FD) Zoning District to Light Industrial-1 (LI-1) Zoning Districts
to construct a new DPS area office located in the 1600 block of East Main
Street (U.S. Hwy. 287 Business), being West of Hwy. 287 Bypass, between the
Burlington Northern Railroad and U.S. Hwy. 287 Business and take action. (ZA2006-31)
5. Public Hearing on Zoning Amendment
Request No. 2006-32: Request by Kathy Rodrigue, Ellis Central Appraisal District, to change the
zoning on Lot 3R, Blocks 31 and 32, Town Addition from General Retail (GR)
Zoning District to Planned Development-General Retail (PD-GR) Zoning District
to allow a “Public Building, Shop or Yard of Local, State or Federal Agency” at
400 Ferris Avenue (existing location of Ellis Central Appraisal District
Building) and take action. (ZA2006-32)
