The Planning Department is responsible for the creation of the City’s sign ordinance. The Building Department implements and enforces the ordinance.
The size, spacing and nature of all on-premise signs are currently regulated within the city limits and the ETJ. City staff reviews all sign permit applications for compliance with Waxahachie’s ordinance. All sign installation requires a permit.
