Boards & Commissions

The Waxahachie City Council encourages all citizens to consider becoming actively involved in City government by serving on a City Board or Commission.  Board and Commission applications are accepted at any time throughout the year; however applications must be submitted by July 31st for current year consideration.

Appointments are made by City Council in August/September each year.  The effective term begins October 1 for all new and re-appointed Board and Commission members.

Applicants must: 
  • Reside within the Waxahachie City limits (except for Airport Board)
  • Be willing to attend the regularly scheduled meetings of the Board and Commission
  • Complete an official Board and Commission Candidate Application Form
