THE CITY OF WAXAHACHIE ADOPTED A TAX RATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007 THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $5.
THE CITY OF WAXAHACHIE AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 2264.001(b) OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE USED $1,757,230.83 FOR CITY OWNED UTILITIES DURING FISCAL YEAR 2007.

Official Dedication of The Freeman Memorial Park
The City of Waxahachie Park and Recreation Department and The Black Academy of Art and Culture invite the general public to the Official Dedication of The Freeman Memorial park to kick off Black History Month.
