The Operations Division of Waxahachie Fire-Rescue responds to all non-emergency and emergency calls for service within the city limits of Waxahachie. We also respond to emergencies to those areas of Ellis and Dallas counties with which we have Mutual Aid Agreements (see Department Services on the Home Page).
This division is staffed with 75 members of the department who work at one of four fire stations strategically located throughout the city. These members work on a 24-48 schedule with 25 members assigned to each shift. The minimum staffing for the department is 17 members per shift.
