The Public Works Department first annual sidewalk program is responsible for installing miles of sidewalks in Waxahachie for transportation and recreational use. This program allows residents a safe and walkable sidewalk that is accessible to all by complying with the American Disability Act (ADA). At this time, this year’s program will focus only on putting in sidewalks where one doesn’t exist. We are still in the works to budget for repairs of existing sidewalk.
