Boards and Commissions
The Waxahachie City Council encourages all citizens to consider becoming actively involved in City government by serving on a City Board or Commission.  Board and Commission applications are accepted at any time throughout the year; however applications must be submitted by July 31st for current year consideration.  Appointments are made by City Council in August/September each year and those selected will be notified.  The effective term begins October 1 for all new and re-appointed Board and Commission members.
Applicants must: 

TRAINING:  Office of the Attorney General
All appointed Board members are REQUIRED to complete the Texas Open Meetings Act training and the Texas Public Information Act training within 90 days of being appointed.
